on the heels of this, we will be rolling out an updated version of our ext-ai-agent-engine extension.
This new version is a rebuild on top of the new Google Agent Development Kit and our MCP server. Although it means it will lose a few experimental features, the new version (thanks to the ADK) is massively streamlined and simplified, which will give us a great fondation to add more features and deliver a much more reliable way for users to run AI agents on top of LC without having to deploy their own infra.
The new version will roll out with a single feature: non-resumable/interactive sessions. Like before you’ll be codify your prompt and trigger the agent the same way (interactive and through automation), but the session with the agent will be real-time and will not support user interaction on an already started session. It means the agent definition will also be simplified.
