Introducing LimaCharlie Bots: your personal AI team, inside LimaCharlie

We’re excited to announce LimaCharlie Bots, a new workspace in the AI Terminal where you build a team of AI bots that live in LimaCharlie and work alongside you.

A regular AI chat is a single session. A bot is a named specialist that keeps its identity and memory. You leave, you come back, and it picks up where you left off in the same conversation.

What you can do

:robot: Build named specialists

Create bots with a clear job: a threat hunter, a detection engineer, a triage analyst, an onboarding helper. Each bot has:

  • A name and a handle you can @mention
  • Its own instructions, model and tool settings
  • Memory that belongs to that bot and stays when you start a new chat

Already use AI Session profiles? Import one to start a bot from that configuration.

:busts_in_silhouette: Put bots in a group

Add several bots to a group conversation and pick one as the coordinator:

  • Message the group and the coordinator gets the request, then hands out the work.
  • @mention a bot to talk to it directly.
  • Bots hand tasks to each other and wait for the results they depend on. For example, the hunter finishes before the report writer starts.
  • You see the handoffs as they happen, with a live view of which bots are working and what they’re doing.

:alarm_clock: Schedule routines

Turn a request you repeat into a routine that runs on its own, even with your browser closed:

  • Run it once, at a fixed interval, daily, on weekdays, weekly or monthly, in your time zone
  • Preview upcoming runs before you turn a routine on
  • Pause it, resume it, or use Run now whenever you like
  • Set a daily budget so a routine can’t overspend
  • Browse each routine’s past runs and results

Bots can also suggest a routine when you ask for something that sounds recurring, like “check this every morning”.

:speech_balloon: Chats that work like chats

  • Start a New chat with any bot or group and still keep its memory and routines
  • Browse and reopen earlier chats
  • Share files with your bots, and download the files they share back to you
  • Interactive cards: when a bot needs you to pick an organization or provide a secret, it asks in the chat with a card. Secrets go straight to your organization’s secret storage, never into the conversation.

Security and permissions

  • Your bots are personal. Your bots, groups, chats and routines belong to you and aren’t shared with other users.
  • No extra access. Bots act with your existing permissions in each organization. Putting bots in a group or switching organizations never grants anything new.
  • Your AI credentials. Bots run on the AI provider credentials you already set up for AI Sessions.

Getting started

  1. Open the AI Terminal in the LimaCharlie web app.
  2. Click Create bot, give it a name and instructions, and start chatting.
  3. Create a second bot and put them in a group to watch them work together.
  4. Ask a bot to do something on a schedule, or open Routines to set one up yourself.
